Our Opinion of Riu Negril

An older hotel, but very lively. Good mix of people. Great food, great bars and great staff. Narrow beach with lots of shade where you can walk safely for a mile along the beach.

Riu Negril Information

A wonderfully large resort which spills over sunny, tropical beachfront acres, Riu Negril also has plenty of shady palms for beach lovers preferring measured spells of sun worship. True 'pool people' will get a kick out of the submerged stools edging pool perimeters. A small fish 'habitat' protected by RIU at the far end of the beach earns applause for environmental responsibility.

Location: Beachfront, located in Negril, next door to Riu Tropical Bay, 5 min drive from downtown Negril, 1 hr from the airport.
